School Safety Cooperative

The School Safety Cooperative is designed to provide ongoing professional development and technical assistance for district law enforcement, school resource officers, district/school administrators, and other personnel responsible for school safety.

 Key Highlights

  • School Safety Cooperative members attend a virtual Safe and Supportive School Program (SSSP) 6-month Series that highlights the components of the SSSP assisting LEAs in building the essential foundational pieces of student supports.
  • School Safety Cooperative members attend small group Behavior Threat Assessment Tabletop Exercises gaining valuable experience while walking through potential scenarios to determine best courses of action.
  • Membership includes attendance and participation in the 2024 ESC-20 School Safety Summit. The Summit is a full day professional development conference tailored to school safety personnel, school district police, and school resource officers.

 Potential Cost Savings

LEAs realize a cost savings of $395 per staff member to attend the workshops and events included with cooperative membership. Additional sessions are provided at reduced rates or at no additional cost as they become available throughout the year.
