Texas is leading educational innovation with The Texas Education Exchange (The Exchange), a state-of-the-art data solution aimed at empowering LEAs to boost student success. Utilizing the Ed-Fi data standard, The Exchange provides a framework for education data, simplifying integration and access to valuable insights. Through The Exchange, educators easily share and access data from multiple sources, enabling them to make informed decisions to support student achievement. The Exchange initiative brings together four founding members: Region 10 (Dallas), Region 11 (Fort Worth), Region 13 (Austin), and Region 20 (San Antonio).

  • The Exchange is a cutting-edge data solution fostering student success in PK-12 LEAs, rooted in the Ed-Fi data standard.
  • Spearheaded by the Region 4 Education Service Center, The Exchange harmonizes disparate data sources, simplifying data sharing and providing actionable insights to educators.
  • Since its October 2023 launch, The Exchange has become a vital resource statewide. To promote equitable access, LEAs may participate at no cost until August 2025. Onboarding fees for those joining by August 31, 2025 will be waived.
